Director of Sales & Marketing
Morgan Philips has been retained by a luxury 5-star hotel located on the shores of Lake Geneva to recruit a Director of Sales & Marketing.
* This is a leadership role that requires proven sales expertise and experience combined with strong marketing exposure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts,
* Crafting and implementing plans to drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rate, and boost volume,
* Leading and managing a team of 8 professionals in sales, events, and marketing,
* Establishing relationships and acquiring new customers while supporting existing ones,
* Expanding market position and creating sales action plans,
* Preparing the annual sales budget and ensuring compliance,
* Implementing a growth-oriented sales strategy for both national and international markets, including success monitoring.
Marketing Responsibilities:
* Developing the marketing strategy for the hotel in collaboration with the hotel group,
* Planning PR activities, including coordination with PR agencies and supervision of media and influencer trips,
* Developing a social media strategy and planning, as well as monitoring, in cooperation with the social media and content manager,
* Being responsible for the hotel website and newsletters.
Your Profile:
* Fluent in English and French,
* Experience in a leading sales and marketing position in a luxury hotel, preferably in Switzerland,
* Experience leading a large sales and marketing team,
* A portfolio/network of key players within the hospitality industry, including partners in various segments (key agencies and partners in the US, Asia, UK, MICE agencies in Switzerland and Europe, etc.),
* A strong business and result-oriented mindset,
* Excellent relational, communication, and negotiation skills,
* A higher degree in Hospitality Management or Sales/Marketing.
