IT Helpdesk Support - Contract
Oliver James is partnering with a global manufacturing business based in Zug to find a skilled IT Support Specialist for a temporary position.
The role is designed to support a team that oversees 11 business units, global IT teams, and external users in their daily IT operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic IT environment by providing hands-on support for workstations, peripheral devices, and general IT troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
* Configure and set up workstations, laptops, and computing equipment
* Create and manage new user accounts and configure hardware
* Configure and support peripheral devices like printers and copiers
* Install, configure, and manage software as per specifications
* Troubleshoot IT issues to ensure timely resolution
* Maintain logs of repairs and technical fixes
* Identify shortages in equipment and coordinate orders
* Collaborate with global IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
* Document technical procedures for new technologies and update existing documentation
* Adhere to company IT standards and processes
Requirements
* Education in IT, Computer Science, or related field
* Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
* 2+ years of experience in a technical support role within an IT environment
* High customer orientation and a problem-solving mindset
* Structured, independent working style with excellent attention to detail
* Strong communication skills
* Willingness to work evenings and weekends for specific assignments when needed
* Fluent in German and English
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Zug, Switzerland
Contract Duration: 6-month initial contract, with potential for extension
