Overview
The Manager, Commercial Excellence is an important position within the International Marketing Team at Cordis. Reporting to the Sr Director Marketing and Strategy, this individual will be responsible for business and market intelligence as well as advanced analytics and reporting across international markets. This role is of strategic importance as Cordis embarks on its journey towards achieving commercial excellence and becoming a more data-driven organization.
Responsibilities
Cordis Business analytics
1. Contribute to Cordis growth plans by translating insights and analytics into top and bottom-line growth initiatives to support reaching fiscal year plans.
2. Analyze and interpret data, providing actionable insights to country General Managers.
3. Develop top-notch dashboards to uncover patterns and trends for long-term business success.
Reports and data insights generation
1. Develop, prepare, and optimize monthly business reporting and analytics across international markets.
2. Synthesize content from emails, articles, spreadsheets, etc and generate clear and communicable messages in different formats (PowerPoint, reports, etc).
3. Prepare presentations for reviews with senior leadership.
Market and competitive intelligence
1. Analyze competitive actions, corporate strategies, and technology trends to drive valuable insights.
2. Understand market trends to drive analyses such as market sizing, growth projections and opportunity scans, providing unique insights, delivering synthesized, actionable facts via different types of reports (PowerPoint, written memos, Excel models, etc).
Special projects
1. Partner with the regional Leadership Team to identify, prioritize, scope, manage, and deliver on critical strategic projects (e.g.: pricing, profitability) to augment our commercial capabilities and deliver results on collective strategic decisions.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in science, finance, engineering or related discipline with a strong analytical component required.
2. A minimum of two years of relevant business experience.
3. Experience in management consulting desired.
4. Very strong analytical skills.
5. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in financial modeling and data analysis.
6. High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all outputs.
7. Interest in business strategy, healthcare, and the implications of analytics on business operations.
8. Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal), ability to synthesize complex information and convey key insights in a clearly and concisely way in English.
9. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
11. Strategic-minded with superior collaboration skills.
12. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
13. Comfortable with ambiguity; strong sense of ownership and perseverance.
14. Comfortable with working across a global team in multiple geographic time zones.
15. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
16. Ability to travel 30% domestic and/or international, including weekend travel.
17. Ability to speak English at a very high level and ideally one more EMEA language.
