Become part of a team committed to ensuring that every Orthopedics product reaches our patients and customers with care and precision, to keep people moving! As a member of the MedTech Deliver Business Unit Integration team, this role will represent the Deliver pillar for Orthopedics SCLT by bringing functional expertise and a full view of Deliver strategy & operations for the Business Unit.
The scope involves leading primary workstreams including, but not limited to:
1. Orthopedics SCLT: Represents Deliver through balanced role with other E2E pillars (Plan-Source-Make) on Ortho SCLT.
2. MedTech Deliver Center: Connects BU strategies and requirements into Deliver Center Operations and Capabilities teams, as well as the other way around.
3. Regional MedTech SC Leaders: Partners with regions for critical processes and accountabilities, including Performance Management, BP/LRFP, Flow Optimization, NPI execution.
4. GSCS: Partners with GSCS teams (GTTO, Trade Compliance) focusing on transportation optimization, trade compliance, and budget control.
The scope of this role also includes:
1. Infusing Orthopedics specific priorities into the overall MedTech SC Deliver strategy and capability roadmap to accelerate BU growth.
2. Incorporating and collaborating with E2E SC team to drive strategic plans associated with the respective BU (i.e. product flow optimization, efficiency and productivity initiatives for hubs and transportation, capacity and capabilities improvement, etc.).
3. Ensuring insight into global Hubs priorities and performance, and driving global Ortho aggregation through partnership with Regional SC Leads.
4. Shared accountability for performance metrics, including OTIF-SC and OTIF-D as part of E2E SC; driving continuous improvement against failure modes linked to Deliver and partnering with other functions to address E2E issues.
5. Ensuring on-time delivery of NPI and new capabilities through Deliver Playbook adherence and maturity.
6. Identifying and driving optimization of inventory levels through improvement on unproductive inventory reductions at Hubs, international lanes reliability, and lead time compression and E2E product flows design.
7. Driving COGS reduction in freight and warehousing; ensuring a process is in place to provide awareness of Deliver cost performance and improvement, jointly setting and working to achieve cost optimization targets.
8. Shared accountability with Ortho E2E SC to ensure a robust foundation in compliance including trade compliance, Quality, EH&S, financial compliance.
9. Developing talent and maintaining leadership pipeline; actively sponsoring and mentoring key talent across E2E supply chain, building leadership competencies in team.
10. Responsible for Deliver integration into core global processes (e.g., STEM, issue management, strategic capacity planning, S&OP, IBP, and E2E flow optimization).
11. Working with other Deliver Capabilities pillars to drive global distribution network optimization and standardization initiatives.
12. Ensuring “Design for Distribution” inputs are incorporated into R&D processes, aligning Deliver resources to portfolio optimization initiatives; ensuring detailed NPI execution from a global perspective.
13. Partnering with BU SC and Deliver Operations teams for successful execution of strategic network projects initiated both from a BU side (i.e. source changes, consolidations, etc.) and Deliver (i.e. DC capacity plans, network redesign, etc.).
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent University degree required; Advanced degree such as an MS or MBA preferred.
Required:
1. A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional work experience.
2. Experience being a part of Senior Leadership team.
3. Overall business experience, preferably with a focus in Customer Service, Operations, Strategy, and management of large programs.
4. Shown success working in a complex global organization with ever-evolving priorities and timelines.
5. Demonstrated impact in increasingly complex leadership roles, including roles requiring orchestration and influence; E2E thinking and collaborative, influence-based leadership approach.
6. Ability to promote a vision and inspire change to transform organizations, via strong engagement/communication.
7. Strong understanding of core Order Fulfillment processes (Customer Service, Warehousing, and Transportation).
8. Strong planning and systems (OTC, digital, visibility & WH systems) understanding with demonstrated track record of performance with E2E execution.
9. Demonstrated ability to handle complexity across a broad product portfolio.
