Job Description
The quality management of EM suppliers directly affects the efficiency and effectiveness of several activities, including SCAR process management, supplier selection and qualification, process change management, supplier performance monitoring, and continuous improvement plans. It also impacts global quality performance evaluations and supplier development plans.
The internal auditor ensures that organizational processes comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) as well as customer and regulatory requirements.
This has implications for both EM Marin and remote locations EM BKK.
To strengthen our Quality department, we are recruiting a:
Supplier Quality Manager
* Develops and implements a supplier quality management strategy in collaboration with Quality Management, Operations, and Business Units. Ensures its effective implementation and completion.
* Sets up and reviews supplier quality agreements in a timely manner.
* Ensures EM and customer requirements are effectively communicated to relevant customers.
* Evaluates the effectiveness of the SCAR management process, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and adequate responses, according to EM and customer requirements.
* Collaborates with Operations, Business Units, and Purchasing to assess, select, and qualify new suppliers and articles. Reviews and validates suppliers' production part approval process (PPAP), where applicable.
* Collaborates with Operations, Business Units, and Purchasing to review, assess, accept, and qualify suppliers' process changes.
* Supports risk assessments for suppliers' waiver requests and ensures proper monitoring to prevent any impact on EM production and customers.
* Defines and deploys yearly targets to automotive-grade and other relevant suppliers, foundries, and subcontractors.
* Monitors and reports suppliers' quality performance to management. Analyzes and drives continuous improvement projects based on top detractors.
* Participates in suppliers' performance re-evaluation with the Supply Chain team to trigger audits and development plans.
* Leads the supplier audit program in coordination with interested parties, using the VDA 6.3 methodology for automotive-grade suppliers.
* Conducts internal audits: risk assessment, prioritization, performs audits, reviews corrective actions, consolidates system gaps and opportunities, and reports to management. Ensures that the organization's practices, processes, and procedures conform to internal and external requirements.
