Founded in 2019, Transmutex aims to reinvent nuclear energy/medicine/waste recycling by using an accelerator-driven system (ADS) to optimize the transmutation of long-lived nuclear waste. The innovative combination of particle accelerators and Thorium fuel based on existing long-lived radioactive waste allows to generate energy intrinsically safe and recycle the stockpile of long-lived waste in a proliferation-resistant way.
We’re seeking a skilled systems engineer to drive nuclear power plant design development through cutting-edge modelling, architecture design, and digital twin creation. Tasks include system simulations using tools like Modelica and SysML-based system modelling.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review, improve, and verify the digital plant model, including all its components, and accurate integration of the primary and secondary systems with the Balance of Plant.
2. Develop subsystem models and integrate them into a cohesive plant simulation model.
3. Perform system analysis using Modelica-based tools.
4. Analyse data and simulation results to assess the performance of the reactor and the plant, detect anomalies, and propose improvements to optimize their operation.
5. Work in close collaboration with the I&C team.
6. Contribute to the development of a plant-scale digital twin.
7. Develop and maintain comprehensive user guides and documentation for the system models, produce internal technical notes on the system model analysis.
8. Perform system functional analysis and elicit requirements for the reactor components.
9. Define system architecture.
10. Model reactor system in SysML language.
11. System interface management.
Requirements:
The candidate we are looking for must have:
1. University degree in engineering or master’s in physics.
2. Knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics in nuclear or process engineering.
3. 5+ years of experience in relevant fields.
4. Experience in system analysis using Modelica or similar codes.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary team.
6. Excellent communication and documentation abilities in English, proficiency in French, German or Italian is a plus.
Additionally, it will be an advantage if the applicant has:
1. University degree related to power plant engineering.
2. Knowledge of systems engineering processes.
3. Certifications related to systems engineering (INCOSE), requirements elicitation or systems modelling.
4. Experience with MBSE systems modelling languages.
Apply by January 31, 2025.
Starting date: at your earliest convenience.
