We are looking for an experienced test engineer to join our quality control team at Swiss-Aviation Software. Tasks
Define, monitor and continuously adapt performance testing approaches and test plans suitable for the situation in alignment with the Company’s test strategy and the Quality Control team’s testing
Contribute to impact assessment and prioritize the desired testing approach accordingly for both manual and automated testing
Continuously assess and improve the test coverage to prevent re-occurrence of issues faced by customers
Implement preventive actions highlighted by the root cause analysis performed on critical issues whenever applicable.
Provide a specialized reference of performance testing in the context of Swiss-AS
Define, implement, document, maintain and execute performance manual and automated test cases in coordination with R&D teams, based on the needs and priorities.
Monitor and review the performance test results and performance KPIs. Report issues to the R&D team(s).
Coordinate the test results review for performance test cases.
Identify, analyze, describe, prioritize, evaluate and monitor defects.
Support the SRE team in designing the performance testing/monitoring dashboards to enable effective performance KPIs/data analysis
Review draft test cases according to Quality Control standards.
Carry out performance risk assessment as part of the SRE team
Contribute to the definition of Swiss-AS performance testing strategy
Define performance testing approach for each new internal project in alignment with the company’s testing strategy
Develop and maintain the required test automation framework components
Contribute to the definition of the performance test data strategy
Define, create and maintain test data.
Skills
Degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering or similar scientific subject; or a comparable experience
Good knowledge of performance aspects of a software (responsiveness, stability, scalability and reliability)
Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
Good understanding of all levels of system architecture (hardware, OS, network, databases)
SQL know-how
3+ years’ experience in software testing, including knowledge of testing processes, methodologies and tools.
Effective teamwork and good interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly proactive, independent and able to work under pressure.
Drive and motivated to meet targets.
Desirable (nice to have)
1+ years’ experience with Performance Testing, including risk assessment and infrastructure integration.
Previous experience in A/C maintenance and flight operations.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
