Job Responsibilities
* Develop and execute category strategies for the procurement of engineering services
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand sourcing needs and contribute to project success
* Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify and assess potential suppliers
* Manage the entire life cycle of the request for information/quotation process
* Negotiate framework and project-specific agreements to secure favorable terms
* Ensure compliance and mitigate contract risks according to internal policies and industry standards
* Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier capacity dynamics
* Implement savings initiatives to achieve category-specific performance metrics
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function
* Prepare reports and presentations for senior management
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (required); MBA or advanced degree preferred
* Native-level English proficiency (required); fluent German preferred
* 5-10 years of experience in procurement of engineering services, category management, or supply chain within the life sciences
* Strong knowledge of the engineering services market, including regulatory requirements and standards in the life sciences sector
* Willing to travel to Visp once a week
* Strong business acumen with thorough evaluation of business cases and total cost of ownership
* Collaborative and hands-on approach with internal stakeholders and external partners
* Customer-focused, with the ability to translate customer needs into cost-effective execution
* Results-driven, with perseverance and the ability to overcome challenges
* Leadership skills to influence and drive solutions with stakeholders and partners
