We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager F/M/X to oversee the capital program for our northern Switzerland sites. The successful candidate will have a proven background in managing engineering projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution while maintaining the highest safety standards. This role requires a leader with a strong technical foundation and the ability to coordinate resources across multiple sites and teams.
Responsibilities: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of capital engineering projects, ensuring they meet business needs, cost objectives, and safety regulations.
Develop project governance and foster engineering professionalism by supporting and training project managers and site engineers.
Collaborate with Procurement to establish flexible and efficient contract platforms for outsourcing detailed engineering work.
Implement processes for estimating, tracking, and reporting costs and progress of capital projects, ensuring timely delivery within agreed budgets.
Ensure all projects align with strategic business requirements and comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
Directly manage or oversee major projects, establishing clear success criteria and ensuring all stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers meet these targets.
Share technical expertise and lead initiatives to improve engineering processes across multiple sites and business units.
Your Profile: You hold an Engineering degree or equivalent, with at least 15 years of experience in project management.
You have successfully managed several large-scale engineering projects from inception to completion, ideally within the agrochemical, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
You are an expert in project cost control, contract negotiation, and managing internal and external resources across various locations.
You demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills, with the ability to coach and mentor teams.
You have a strong understanding of engineering safety practices and can lead HSE initiatives on complex projects.
You are fluent in English and German (knowledge of an additional European language is a plus).
You hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
