Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Magnolia Architect with expertise in Magnolia CMS to join our team. As a Magnolia Software Architect, you will work as the overall architect, technical lead and play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating innovative software solutions using Magnolia CMS. Your extensive knowledge of Java programming, along with your experience in system integration, will be critical in ensuring the success of our projects. Your range of tasks covers the entire software development process – from analysis through execution. Your customers are large B2B & B2C companies or organizations with strong web affinity.

1. Designs and implements Magnolia solutions
2. Leads projects as a Tech Lead
3. Takes responsibility for the technical architecture
4. Performs role of subject matter expert for Magnolia DXP
5. Quickly learns and designs integrations with various marketing technologies
6. Communicates both to non-technical clients and technical development teams
7. Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and approaches
8. Experience in following Agile development practices
9. Ability to get things done without being micromanaged
10. Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
11. Technical proficiency to accurately document code
12. Require minimal supervision and provide oversight for assigned projects
13. Prepare proposals and time estimates for future work
14. Schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications
Qualifications
A mix of the following is the person we are looking for:
15. 5+ years of experience with CMS systems such as Magnolia or AEM
16. 5+ years experience with creating custom Magnolia components and templates is a big plus
17. 5+ years experience maintaining and administering Magnolia
18. Delivery of at least three Magnolia projects as an architect
19. 7+ years of experience in software development
20. 7+ years experience with Java
21. 7+ years experience with HTTP and REST API usage
22. Good knowledge of Java as well as experience with standard software frameworks (Spring and Blossom)
23. Knowledge in the areas of SQL and current web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML or AJAX
24. Advanced knowledge and experience with integrations to backend systems
25. Experience utilizing common CI/CD toolchains, Git, Jira and Confluence
26. Very good knowledge of current web technologies (Java/JEE) and/or experience with software frameworks ( Spring)
27. Knowledge of WebServices (REST and/or SOAP)
28. Familiar with Maven/Gradle and Kubernetes / Helm
29. Experience in development environments such as Eclipse or IntelliJ
30. Ability to produce accurate development estimates based on high-level business and/or technical requirements
31. Advanced architecture design and diagramming
32. Advanced code design and execution skills
33. Advanced Interpersonal skills and ability to work/learn as part of a team
34. Advanced knowledge of ticket-based tracking system
35. Advanced organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
36. Advanced Troubleshooting and configuration skills
37. Advanced skill in providing confident and polite customer service
38. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German, client oriented and internally
39. University or college degree in computer science or business information systems
