**Job Title:** Development Engineer
Sulzer, a leading engineering company with a proud heritage of innovation, is seeking a talented individual to join our Products, Technology and Digitalization team in Switzerland.
In this role, you will drive primary engineering activities related to subsea pumps, including design, calculation, documentation, and interaction with partners.
Main Responsibilities:
* Analyze the state-of-the-art subsea product portfolio (static and dynamic)
* Special pump design and analysis, including the related auxiliary systems
* Support, maintenance and validation of pressure loss analysis of cooling flow networks using FloMaster
* Specification, execution, evaluation and documentation of pump component tests (e.g. bearing, seals)
* Support customer request for operational support
* Develop design concepts in new application areas
* Generate manuals / handbooks to standardize calculation procedures
* Plan and coordinate projects locally and globally for internal and external customers
* Preparation of technical documentation like investigation reports in English
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - prior apprenticeship as a mechanic is a plus
* 2-3+ years of experience in design engineering with knowledge related to pumping systems, subsea applications, or rotating equipment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience with CAD software and Matlab for design and analysis
* Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
