JOB PURPOSE
An exciting opportunity exists for a world-class facility manager to lead the front-of-house hotel upkeep workflow, minimizing guest discomfort and ensuring crew efficiency.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Implement and promote company policies on safety, safe working practices, and injury prevention.
* Lead the efficient operation of assigned team members under the direction of the Hotel Maintenance Engineer.
* Ensure effective and efficient upkeep measures in hotel front-of-house areas.
* Implement company policies on ship safety, pollution prevention, and injury prevention for crew and passengers.
* Co-represent with the Hotel Maintenance Engineer in the Technical Department to ensure strategic alignment with Explora Journeys objectives and compliance with company standards.
* Plan, coordinate, and inspect the safe progress of hotel upkeep works, utilizing workforce efficiently and minimizing resource waste.
* Maintain discretion over shore support workflow processes while considering guest comfort as a prime concern.
QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EXPERIENCE)
* Minimum 3 years' experience as Chief Carpenter or equivalent position.
* Extensive knowledge and practice in selecting materials and maintenance practices for furniture and furnishing.
* High degree of independent work, ability to take and influence management decisions, and schedule work for assigned teams.
* Previous experience in luxury cruise vessels is highly regarded.
* Possess a valid passport and seaman book.
VISA REQUIREMENTS (IF ANY)
* Computer literacy and ability to operate office equipment.
* Basic Windows-based programs knowledge.
* Language capability: proficient in English; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
