Job Description: Research & Development delivers hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people, hearing care professionals, and further related people, in the form of hearing devices, accessories, web services, mobile applications, and PC software.
As a Hearing Device Release Engineer at Sonova, you will integrate and release various different components of software and hardware into a connected wireless hearing system throughout the entire development cycle. You will have close collaboration with specialists in various teams, contributing to the broadening of your interdisciplinary knowledge.
Integration of the various hardware and software firmware components into a firmware package and coordinating the respective hearing device releases.
Maintaining, configuring, and enhancing the Integration CI / CD release management pipeline for our hearing devices.
Maintaining, configuring, and enhancing the Integration suite of tests.
Ensuring features, price points, and specifications are accurately reflected in the product firmware.
Implementing product metadata updates to the respective YAML, XML, JSON, etc. configuration files.
Your profile:
BSc or MSc degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
3+ years of modern object-oriented software development experience.
Strong and demonstrated automation experience with maintaining CI/CD workflows, ideally using Azure DevOps.
Demonstrated release management experience and experience with configuration technologies including YAML, XML, JSON, preferably for embedded devices.
Strong CI/CD integration testing knowledge; knowledge of Gherkin and BDD, TDD is advantageous.
Fluent in English; German is a plus.
