1. Lead and manage your team focused on IoT hardware and software development for medical devices and ensure alignment with program and portfolio objectives
2. Manage the budget for the embedded software team, ensuring efficient resource utilization and cost-effectiveness in project delivery
3. Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of hardware and software solutions for connected IoT devices, sensors, and smart devices in medical devices, ensuring adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and patient safety
4. Lead the creation of robust, secure and scalable architectures for personal use consumer devices, IoT solutions, communication and embedded systems based on contemporary engineering based practices
5. Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and implement measures to safeguard embedded systems
6. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team, promoting transparency, feedback, and shared ownership of program success
What you bring along
7. University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field combined with several years of relevant experience
8. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members and collaborate effectively with external partners
9. Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, PCB design, and schematic capture tools, preferably from software centric organization
10. Excellent knowledge of software architecture and design, including design patterns
11. Strong technical proficiency in hardware design, firmware development, and software engineering, with experience in connected IoT devices, sensors, and smart devices in the medical device domain
12. Knowledge of regulatory standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 62304, MDR (Medical Device Regulation), and FDA regulations pertaining to medical device development
13. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
