We're working globally with institutional investors, banks, private equity firms, and insurance companies, developing strategies, designing innovative solutions, meeting regulatory requirements, and positioning for success in this rapidly evolving market. You'll join a team of over 3,000 climate change and sustainability practitioners globally, presenting a unique opportunity to make a real difference. As a Senior Consultant, you'll work on leading projects, build networks, and consult on key strategic issues in sustainable finance, helping clients navigate the ESG agenda. Topics include:
* Sustainable Finance regulatory developments and requirements by the financial sector (EU SFDR, EU Taxonomy, RBI);
* Reporting and disclosure (TCFD, GRI, ISSB, and other frameworks);
* Sustainable finance and net zero strategies for financial services;
* Climate change metrics and targets, greenhouse gas reporting (SBTi, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, PCAF);
* Responsible, sustainable, and impact investment strategies and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver projects to clients on various sustainability topics, including Regulation implementation, Sustainability Reporting & Assurance engagements for financial services organizations;
* Create commercial insights for clients, adapt methods to fit operational teams and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership;
* Actively contribute to improving project efficiency and internal initiatives, driving projects to completion while delivering industry-leading results;
* Lead teams or parts of teams on engagements, focusing on anticipating and identifying risks, and escalating issues as necessary;
* Work closely with colleagues to create a positive learning culture, coach junior team members, and help them develop;
* Contribute to EY capabilities in technical areas and engage with clients on applying these methodologies to their businesses;
* Collaborate with colleagues outside the CCaSS team to deliver multi-disciplinary and cross-geographical work.

Qualifications:

2. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, environmental sciences, or related fields;
3. Track record of success in 3+ years of experience within ESG or sustainable finance environments, ideally focusing on advisory/consulting, audit, assurance, investment assignments, or similar organizations;
4. At least 2+ years of experience in projects related to non-financial and/or integrated reporting, ESG data assurance, SDGs, GHG accounting, carbon footprinting, or Life Cycle Analysis;
5. Keen interest in and understanding of ESG as it relates to financial services (banking, wealth management, insurance, and/or private equity);
6. Entrepreneurial mindset with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, dynamic working style, well-organized structure;
7. Demonstrated capacity to take initiative, overcome challenges, and work collaboratively through relevant work or project experience;
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, French, and German.
