Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
* Proven ability to lead and train a team.
* Strong culinary and catering background with experience in international cuisines.
* Experience in organizing and managing kitchen sections efficiently.
* Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations.
* Ability to oversee inventory, stock control, and ordering processes.
* Knowledge of the dessert section.
* German language skills are a plus.
* Legal right to work in Switzerland is a must.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Management – Ensure the smooth daily operation of the kitchen, assisting the kitchen management team in maintaining high standards.
* Team Leadership – Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff, fostering clear communication and strong teamwork.
* Planning & Organization – Participate in menu development, oversee menu execution, kitchen schedules, and food preparation to ensure efficiency and safety.
* Quality Control – Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning across all dishes.
* Stock Management – Monitor ingredient stock levels, oversee ordering, and minimize waste to maintain cost-effectiveness.
* Kitchen Coordination – Work across different sections, stepping in where needed to ensure all areas run smoothly and that days off are covered.
* Hygiene & Compliance – Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
* Adaptability & Problem-Solving – Quickly adjust to last-minute changes and unexpected situations while keeping service running smoothly and team morale high.
* Collaboration – Work closely with kitchen management, the kitchen team, and other departments to maintain the high culinary standards expected at Institut auf dem Rosenberg.
* Maintain the school’s excellent reputation both in and out of the workplace.
