The purpose of the position Senior Manager Utilities & Sustainability will mainly focus on the Utilities within the Group Carlsberg– projects for optimization, reduction of consumption, performance improvement, new technologies, environmental safety and best practices.
The Utility processes should be developed and implemented so that the workflow happens in an efficient and lean way. This initiative has to be interlinked with the sustainability road map development (TTZAB) and CAPEX/technology phasing/selection and prioritization within our breweries and beverage plants.
The position will be based in 8866 Ziegelbrücke (greater area Zurich), Switzerland.

Education
* Degree in Energy/Utilities/Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Food Engineering or comparable.
Experience
* Practical experience in Brewery Utility/Energy Centre or in related industries.
* Leading position in Brewery Utility/Energy Centre will be an advantage.
* Knowledge of modern brewing technology will be an advantage.
* Good knowledge of modern energy/utility standards.

Job Responsibilities
Carlsberg Operating Manual
* Key Contributor to Global COM standards for a defined technology/process/performance as Subject Matter Expert.
* Coordinates Global COM Work Group for the defined technology/process/performance to continuously improve the standards with Global inputs.
* Responsible for the development inputs of the Global Standards through good practices, learnings from mistakes across the regions.
* Coordinates the best practice lift and shift process for the defined technology across the regions.
* Develops implementation guides, tools and programs to help breweries and beverage plants to comply with COM standards and improve performance.
* Helps build capability in the breweries and beverage plants through deploying the standards, tools and programs across the regions and COM compliance audits.
* Responsible for review regional self-assessment linking to performance gaps & opportunities.
Renewables
* Owner of performance reporting on carbon and water including follow-up with regional utilities leads within our breweries and beverage plants.
* Direct and oversee the collection/tracking/evaluation of environmental sustainability data collection from breweries and beverage plants using dedicated software (Enablon).
* Content provider for the annual sustainability reporting related to water and carbon performance.
* Participant in industry groups aligning on joint standards related to carbon and water.
* Channel new technologies and processes into the business.
* Participate in evidence and data collection for the annual assurance process.
* Owner of carbon and water road maps & targets per region.
* Trend-spotting and knowledge hub on carbon and water agenda.
* Contribute to the development of relevant policies, standards and processes to implement carbon and water actions into the business.
Water & Carbon TTZ within our breweries and beverage plants
* Provide input for prioritization of CAPEX funds for maximum impact on water and carbon reductions.
* Create and manage partnerships to drive down water and carbon impact.
* Responsible for the manufacturing utilities performance improvement programs.
* Drives the understanding, planning and implementation of the TTZ Carbon/Water ambitions and initiatives including target settings in all operations, value chain, capital projects.
* Work closely with internal cross-functional partners in sustainability initiatives or stakeholder interests, including engineering, regional sustainability leads, procurement, customer supply chain, manufacturing processes & standards.
* Provide specific solutions to ongoing environmental and sustainability related issues: with a focus on environmental pollution, water and energy management, water recycling technologies, renewable energies.
* Knowledge of aseptic filling, CIP processes, technology, and equipment.
* Deep understanding of the impact from utilities into emissions (all scopes, including the purchased utilities).
* Reporting – collaborates with relevant functions to ensure all scope of utilities used in manufacturing are reported correctly and timely, as required. This is applicable to purchased utilities such as heat, steam, CO2, renewable energy etc.
* Knowledge of ISO14001, ISO 50001.
* Develop and deliver relevant training programs.
