The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games, the Olympic Properties and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

As Youth Olympic Games Athlete Education Programme Project Coordinator, these will be your responsibilities:
1. Coordinate the delivery of the education programme for athletes and their entourage – Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026
2. Coordinate, within the IOC, the delivery of the activations and content of an impactful and meaningful Athlete Education Programme aimed at athletes and their entourage.
3. Support the development of an athletes’ availability matrix to ensure that all athletes competing at Dakar 2026 have enough time to complete the education programme during their stay.
4. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for the local implementation.
5. Plan the necessary daily athlete education activities in collaboration with the YOGOC, including local cultural activities.
6. Coordinate the delivery of the design creation of the athlete education areas.
7. Liaise with the respective IOC departments to ensure a centralised and coordinated operation.
8. Coordinate the relationship with the various agencies working on the delivery of the Athlete Education Programme.
9. Liaise with the relevant YOGOC functions for implementation of the areas in the Youth Olympic Village.
10. Coordinate the shipment of relevant material with the respective IOC departments and external stakeholders.
Support the delivery of the YOG digital education tool
1. Support the delivery of the athletes’ digital engagement tool (PinQuest) for Dakar 2026.
2. Support the delivery and promotion of e-learning for athletes and their entourage to prepare for Dakar 2026 through the International Federations and National Olympic Committees.
Support the preparation of the on-site operations of the Athlete Education team at Dakar 2026
1. Coordinate the necessary resources for the Youth Olympic Village and scheduling.
2. Prepare a clear communication, onboarding, training and information pack for the team who will operate the Athlete Education Programme so that it favours cross-collaboration.
3. Work with the YOGOC to draw up plans regarding the volunteers needed.
4. Prepare the necessary onboarding, training and information pack for the volunteers.
Olympic Agenda 2020+5
Support the implementation of Olympic Agenda 2020+5, in particular Recommendation 3.
Other
1. Support the delivery of IOC engagement with Olympians, elite athletes and athletes’ entourage members, from youth-sport level to life after sport.
2. Assist in the delivery of projects as delegated by the Manager of the Unit or the Athletes’ Department Director.
3. Assist with the organisation and running of meetings with key stakeholders, internal departments and external service providers.
4. Perform everyday administrative tasks: preparing various reports, correspondence, expense forms and documents, filing, ordering supplies, etc.
In order to be eligible for this role you need:
1. Further education (master’s or bachelor’s degree, federal diploma, etc.) or professional experience deemed equivalent.
2. Minimum of two years’ experience in the sports industry or relatable experience in a similar field.
3. English or French mother tongue, with excellent domain of the other language.
4. Excellent command of Office Suite applications.
