At our R&D site in Dättwil, Switzerland, with 400 employees, mostly engineers, scientists and physicists we specialize in the development of imaging software and hardware as well as treatment management systems for radiation therapy cancer treatment. Join Varian’s Oncology Systems team, and the work you do can make a difference by helping to create a world without fear of cancer.
You will be responsible for the quality of ProBeams x-ray imaging hard- and software components.
Specific Responsibilities
1. Lead verification activities of proton imaging systems (incl. documentation, definition of test plans and test strategies)
2. Preparation of clinical data for test execution like CT scans and proton treatment plans
3. Testing the clinical workflow of proton therapy imaging
4. Development of manual & automated verification tests
5. Installation and maintenance of test facilities (office test systems and kV Lab in Baden)
6. Work with the development teams for troubleshooting, problem analysis, design reviews and risk analysis
7. Support engineering, product management, field service and other teams with proton imaging knowledge
8. Work on HW issue/obsolescence topics together with the design team
9. Sporadic travels
Desired Qualifications
10. B.Sc. or Master in an engineering discipline or comparable education
11. Experience of 2 years or more in medical device industry and software verification (embedded and C# applications)
12. Tester certification (ISTQB/SAQ Certified Tester) is an andvantage
13. Experience in Proton Therapy, x-ray or medical imaging
14. Strong committmend to safety and quality
15. Fluency in spoken and written English, German is a plus
