Supply Chain Planning Analyst (m/f/d) – Network Planning
What awaits you:
The Supply Chain Analyst is reporting to the Network Planning Manager Beverage Packaging & Specialties at Novelis and is responsible for developing and executing achievable supply network plans for end-to-end product lines that meet the varying requirements of the business and its customers (i.e., balancing supply against cost, delivery performance and inventory requirements). It requires close collaboration within a team of Network Planners, each responsible for their node in the supply network, and the interconnectivity between up- and downstream manufacturing facilities in the network.
Responsibilities & Qualifications Orchestrate metal flow throughout supply chain network incorporating operational targets (i.e. capacity, inventory and cost).
Monitoring capacity and supply delivery performance of supply network.
Creation and release of production orders to manufacturing facilities.
Contribute to process improvement and optimization projects.
Operate tools to process scenario models and determine supply chain results.
Optimize delivery of the service level at the lowest possible costs.
Close collaboration with internal teams, including: demand planning, local planning, logistics, production, procurement, and quality, to align supply chain activities with demand forecasts and business objectives.
How you convince us:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or other fields of Engineering or Business Administration with experience in Supply Chain.
On average 4 years’ experience in Supply Chain and/or Operations management. Less experience is well valued if the candidate has a strong Supply Chain background and understanding of its principles (e.g. supply planning, inventory management and demand forecasting).
Strong ability to understand complex problems with advanced analytical skills.
Proven record of implementing new digitization, robotic automation (RPA), and visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI/Tableau).
Knowledge in SAP modules (PPDS, APO DP) required.
Experience with new planning software (e.g. o9) preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Fluent communication skills in German and English, any other European language would be a plus.

Location Profile Novelis’ European Regional Headquarters is located in Küsnacht just outside of Zurich, Switzerland employing approximately 100 employees from more than 20 countries which enable us to embrace diverse cultures and communities and push boundaries through unique thinking and learnings.
Novelis’ Headquarters office is home to the Regional Leadership team strategy & sustainability finance supply chain human resources corporate communications legal and miscellaneous global functions.
Its central location in Europe makes it an ideal starting point to reach other European cities and Novelis plants.
The Göttingen plant in central Germany is an important European site for the production of beverage can stock and surface-treated aluminium for many attractive markets and employs around 700 people. It specializes in the surface treatment of aluminium coil stock and includes a research and development center primarily concerned with the study and development of surface coatings and the simulation of end-product manufacturing at the customer's site. In addition, the Göttingen plant supplies extruded bottles, cartridges, and cases for the automotive, construction, pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries.
Novelis is committed to the local community and works in numerous collaborations with schools to promote math and science education as well as robotics competitions and workshops.
The Ohle plant in North Rhine-Westphalia employs around 500 people. The site produces materials for coffee capsules, cable straps, and flexible tubes for the automotive industry, packaging for the food industry and aluminium coil cores for the aluminium and steel industries. Ohle is located in the town of Plettenberg and is close to the metropole cities Düsseldorf and Cologne. The Ohle plant supports charitable organizations ranging from safety to mathematics, science, and education for youth.
