Banca Generali (www.bancagenerali.com), a private bank leader in Italy in financial planning and in the protection of clients through a network of private consultants at the top of the sector in terms of skills and expertise/professionalism, is looking for the COO for Banca Generali Suisse.
Banca Generali (Suisse) Private Bank is a private bank based in Lugano, Switzerland, and is part of the Banca Generali Group. Founded in 2021 and activated in 2024, it offers personalized advisory services for the protection of savings and the planning of clients' life projects.
The ideal candidate will oversee the following activities:
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the CFO in preparing the annual budget, the three-year financial plan, and the business plan at both individual and consolidated levels.
* Capital Planning: Assist the CFO in the capital planning preparation at both individual and consolidated levels.
* Monthly Monitoring: Monitor monthly forecasts of revenues, costs, and investments.
* Quarterly Analysis: Conduct quarterly budget gap analysis at both individual and group levels.
* Direct Contact: Maintain direct contact with budget holders to support the budgeting and forecasting process.
* NNM and AUM Monitoring: Track the evolution of Net New Money and Assets Under Management on a weekly, monthly, and year-to-date basis.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports for the Executive Board, the Control & Risk Committee, and the Board of Directors.
* Regulatory Compliance: Maintain proper internal regulations and ensure alignment with the parent company's regulations.
* Procurement and Insurance: Manage procurement activities and insurance contracts through an external specialist broker.
* Variable Compensation Calculation: Calculate the monthly variable compensation for Relationship Managers.
* Internal Controls: Perform cost control activities, control correct client pricing, etc.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a medium/small-sized bank.
* Knowledge of Swiss banking accounting standards; knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
* Strong IT skills; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
* Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes in the banking industry.
* A team player with a critical and continuous improvement mindset who drives change within the organization.
* A self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and strong stakeholder management abilities.
* Ability and willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Resilient and open-minded.
* Fluent in Italian; English is a plus.
