Key Responsibilities:
* Lead procurement activities for assigned investment projects, ensuring effective planning and execution across multiple sites as required.
* Develop and implement procurement execution strategies for construction projects ranging from £5M to £500M, covering manufacturing, laboratory, and office facilities.
* Take full commercial ownership of procurement, expediting, contract management, and contract closeout for a wide range of goods and services.
* Oversee procurement of goods including process equipment, electrical systems, HVAC units, lab equipment, furniture, consumables, and automation systems.
* Manage service procurement across construction, piping, HVAC, electrical and cleanroom fit-out, consulting, engineering, and project planning.
* Proactively manage the Procurement Master Plan (PMP) to ensure timely reporting, risk identification, and mitigation throughout project execution.
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including procurement teams, category managers, project directors, engineers, and support functions such as Quality, EHS, Legal, Finance, and HR.
* Engage and coordinate with key external partners, including EPCM, EPC, and main trade or equipment suppliers, to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
* Experience in CAPEX project procurement or procurement management, ideally within the pharma or biotech sectors.
* Strong background in plant construction, procurement, sales, and contract management.
* Fluent in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
* Technical training or qualifications in process, chemical, mechanical, civil, or plant engineering are beneficial.
