As an IS Manufacturing Application Owner and Process Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring seamless factory operations while serving as a technical expert and consultant in developing new solutions.
You will be the primary point of contact for production and assembly departments regarding factory integration and process improvement initiatives. As part of the Factory Integration Team at our global headquarters in Baden, Switzerland, you will gain deep knowledge of Accelleron's processes and application landscape.
Your Key Responsibilities
Process Engineering:
1. Analyze, improve and optimize IS systems supporting production and assembly processes.
2. Consult with business teams on investment projects and process optimizations within the IS application landscape.
3. Leverage existing IS systems and solutions to ensure their effective application and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for innovative solutions.
4. Evaluate new investments and applications with a structured approach, aligning them with IT infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity.
5. Identify Industry 4.0 trends and key enabling technologies to enhance business process efficiency.
6. Closely collaborate with business teams to identify technology-driven process improvement opportunities.
Application Ownership:
1. Manage a segment of the Factory Applications Portfolio, including guidance systems for highly integrated automated manufacturing cells, IoT device integration and shopfloor connectivity.
2. Ensure seamless integration of Backend Systems (ERP, MES) with Manufacturing Control Systems and production equipment.
3. Define application roadmaps and long-term manufacturing application strategies.
4. Collaborate with business process owners and IS delivery teams to drive value creation through advanced technologies.
5. Ensure IS security and compliance within the production application landscape, working closely with IS security teams.
Project Management:
1. Serve as the central point of contact for IT hardware and software integration in large-scale investment projects.
2. Lead IT system integration efforts for new production equipment.
3. Oversee projects from initiation and design to successful implementation.
4. Drive process digitalization as a matter expert to ensure end-to-end process improvement for all new investments.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial environment or equivalent project experience during studies.
3. Strong expertise in modern production IT applications and MES systems.
4. Proven experience as an application owner in a manufacturing setting.
5. Experience in IT infrastructure (networking, cybersecurity, hardware integration) is a plus.
6. Solid project management experience (agile/hybrid methodologies).
7. Fluent in English and German (business proficiency required).
