Job Description
Our Private Markets ESG team is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurially thinking Senior ESG Specialist to join the team in Pfäffikon (SZ), near Zürich.
The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of ESG integration across our private markets business and liaise with several internal functions as well as external stakeholders.
1. Lead and execute the ESG integration activities within private equity and private markets;
2. Drive the continuous improvement and execution of ESG assessments of private equity investment managers and private markets investments;
3. Manage and further develop the ESG data collection efforts in collaboration with our in-house Company Database and Reporting teams;
4. Engage on ESG matters and developments with our portfolio investments and our institutional clients.
5. Ensure ongoing implementation and compliance with Sustainability Regulations by working with our Legal and Risk Management teams;
6. Provide input from the private markets perspective for several firm-wide reports such as LGT CP’s ESG report, TCFD report and CSRD report.
Requirements
7. Degree from a reputable university, ideally with a background in a sustainability-related field (for example sustainable engineering or sustainable finance);
8. 7-10 years of relevant work experience in ESG / Sustainability;
9. 7-10 years of proven experience in the Private Equity or Alternative investments industry;
10. Proficient written and verbal English language skills; any other language is beneficial;
11. Ideally, software and programming skills;
12. Self-starter personality with ability to work independently in a multi-cultural team;
13. Exceptional interpersonal skills as well as strong communication skills;
14. Ability to interact confidently and professionally with colleagues, clients, and other industry professionals.
