Requirements
We're currently searching for a Quality Engineer, with main functions including:
1. To pilot NC: lead, execute, and delegate, with a collaborative mindset, and according to QMS processes, and monitor PI and KPI with balanced Quality-Delivery-Cost perspective
2. To analyze, organize and lead Quality Circles with technical expertise on products and manufacturing processes
3. To resolve, on gemba, across all ESS-sites, NC treatment via 8D, 5-Why (root-cause), 6M (Ishikawa) methodology and involving ad-hoc departments like Production-Engineering, Production, Development, Industrialization, Purchasing, and others
4. To focus solutions with a cost-risk-benefit balanced mindset
5. To coordinate and hand-over NC-supplier to QA-Supplier team, and other related departments like Strategic Purchasing
6. To prioritize NC and related Actions to satisfy clients (contractual requirements), especially in securing deliveries (containment actions)
7. To implement and request implementation of NC actions with corresponding evidence
8. To escalate issues, due to complexity or blocking point in resolution
9. To follow-up NC treatment, helping also Customer Support, and drive down to closure of NC
10. To support Development and Engineering Change (ECR) projects to anticipate issues.
11. To participate to the Phase Reviews (DEV, Client Realization)
12. To lead continual improvement projects (CIP)
13. Participate to the overall effort in Quality and Health & Safety
14. Travel < 20%, mostly in Europe for cross-sites activities
15. Master’s degree (MS) in Mechanics, Microtechnics, Electrotechnics, Material Science, Physics, or equivalent
16. Deep and wide knowledge in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and surface treatments is a must
17. Certified internal auditor is a plus
18. 15+ years of experience in R&D, Quality, or/and Production Engineering
19. Experience in Clients / Certification / Supplier audits is an asset
20. Fluent in English and French, German is a plus
21. Experience in complex problem solving
22. Experience in highly regulated industry is a plus
23. Hands-on problem-solving attitude with cross-department approach
24. Strong communication and negotiation skills
25. Team-spirit, autonomous with continual improvement / Lean mindset
