With over 90 rooms and suites, 5 restaurants, 2 bars and a legendary nightclub, the Gstaad Palace is an internationally renowned 5-star luxury hotel. It is owned by the Scherz family and is one of the last traditionally family-run Grand Hotels - a landmark in Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the Purchasing & Cost Controlling Manager in every way possible.
2. Management of the department in the absence of the Purchasing & Cost Controlling Manager to the best of your knowledge and ability.
3. Co-responsible for the entire purchasing department (excluding fresh products).
4. Carrying out operational purchasing in consultation with the Purchasing & Cost Controlling Manager.
5. Taking on larger purchasing projects.
6. Supervision and periodic evaluation of suppliers by means of analyses.
7. Analysing and monitoring daily, monthly, semi-annual and annual financial statements.
8. Co-supervision of F&B cost controlling.
9. Carrying out and analysing spot checks.
10. Analysing various statistics.
11. Accounts receivable and accounts payable control.
12. Programming the KOST merchandise management system and the MATRIX cash register system.
13. Co-organisation and implementation of major events.
14. Management of employees and apprentices.
15. Working closely with the Culinary Director and the F&B Operations and Groups & Events departments.
