Job Description
We are seeking a Public Affairs Specialist to support public affairs initiatives, policy engagement, and stakeholder communications in the healthcare sector. The role involves advocacy, government relations, and external communication to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and healthcare policies.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, government agencies, industry associations, and patient advocacy groups to execute communication projects and programs that position our company as a leader in rare diseases.
This includes developing and implementing an integrated corporate affairs strategy to enhance visibility for our rare disease portfolio, collaborating with global teams to create adaptable communication materials, and organizing taskforces to optimize regional support.
Key responsibilities include supporting media relations and external engagement for rare disease stakeholders, providing strategic guidance to affiliates on media engagement and local outreach efforts, and ensuring compliance with corporate communication and disclosure policies.
The Public Affairs Specialist will also develop measurable goals to track the success of external communication strategies, stay updated on internal and external industry developments affecting rare diseases, and monitor best practices in corporate communications.
Requirements for this role include a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Liberal Arts, or Life Sciences, a minimum 5-7 years of experience in corporate and/or marketing communications roles, fluency in English, and the ability to understand scientific data and translate it for external stakeholders.
Skill requirements include strong follow-through, attention to detail, and sense of urgency, excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
This is a temporary contract via Randstad with a possible extension. The location is Baar, Zug, Switzerland, and the reporting line is Global Corporate Affairs, Corporate Affairs International, ICoE Rare Disease Team, Affiliate Leads.
