EPR is an environmental protection strategy aimed at decreasing the total environmental impact of a product by making the manufacturer responsible for the entire life cycle of the product, especially for the end of lifetime and final disposal.
As EPR shifts the responsibility for waste management from consumers and local governments to the producer, the producer must pay for the consumer’s waste.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you need to have / be:
* Ability to coordinate and communicate with many stakeholders such as internal and external service providers, local authorities, and the legal department.
* Flexible, positive attitude towards change and problem-solving.
* Good planner, organizer, and communicator.
* Respect for deadlines and ability to work under pressure.
* Able to work under stress and independently while enjoying teamwork on different projects.
* Enjoy working with numbers and IT tools.
* Basic experience in finance, controlling, and/or supply chain.
* Holistic understanding of invoice flows and basic accounting knowledge.
* Capability to identify and realize potential reporting improvements.
* Knowledge of EPR regulations and/or a holistic understanding of IKEA (different groups and their responsibilities) is an advantage.
