Job Title: IT Network Operations and Design Senior Manager
About the Role:
The IT Network Operations and Design Senior Manager will oversee all aspects of network infrastructure, encompassing operational and design elements. This role reports directly to the Head of Infrastructure and IT Operations based in Geneva.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute strategies for network operations and design, aligning with business strategy and IT infrastructure goals.
2. Manage network operations budget and contracts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective vendor management.
3. Lead a team of 15 internal and 30 external members, fostering collaboration and innovation.
4. Maintain high availability and reliability of network services, incorporating advanced technologies and best practices in network security.
5. Coordinate complex network projects, from conception through delivery, ensuring they meet business needs and are delivered on time and within budget.
6. Establish strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and managing service level agreements (SLAs) for optimal performance and support.
7. Collaborate with IT Operations team and other departments to support digital transformation efforts and operational goals.
8. Stay up-to-date with technological advancements in network infrastructure and cybersecurity, evaluating new solutions for enhanced performance and security.
9. Implement network solutions for new terminals and remote offices, including hardware procurement, configuration, and testing.
10. Accountable for network tower budget and profit and loss (P&L), including forecasting, planning, and financial analysis.
Requirements:
1. Fluent English, proficiency in another European language an advantage.
2. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3. 10-15 years experience in network operations and design, preferably in a large multinational corporation or leading consulting firm.
4. Expertise in managing large-scale networks, including virtual firewalls, cloud, and SD-WAN technologies.
5. Strong leadership skills, managing both internal teams and external vendors.
6. Proven ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts effectively.
7. Solid understanding of project management methodologies, Agile and Scrum experience preferred.
8. CCNA/CCNP or Cloud certification desirable.
9. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships across organisational levels.
10. Analytical and problem-solving abilities, prioritising tasks under tight deadlines.
