ABOUT THE ROLE
Our IT & Systems team is vital in providing innovative solutions and services to ensure the smooth and secure operation of our day to day activities. The Application Administrator plays a crucial role by overseeing the implementation and upkeep of different software applications. This individual will work closely with business users to create reliable solutions that fulfill business needs while reducing the need for end-user support. This part-time role ensures that all New Classrooms employees receive friendly and proactive support for all our software applications.
Upon hire, a work schedule will be established. Working hours must be within 7 AM to 6 PM EDT/EST, Monday to Friday.
WHAT THIS ROLE DOES
* Handle the general administration and configuration of JIRA, Confluence, Google, Slack and other applications as needed.
* Investigate and diagnose application issues reported by end users.
* Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
* Assist with user access management, including account creation, modification, and termination.
* Ensure appropriate user permissions and access controls are in place.
* Assist in providing training and support to end users on new or existing applications.
* Create user guides and conduct training sessions to promote effective utilization of applications.
* Work with the IT and Cybersecurity teams as needed.
* Support other organizational duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* 4+ years of experience as an application administrator or similar experience.
* Experienced with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence) and Google Suite.
* Experienced with managing multiple applications and juggling priorities between each application.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with business owners on cross-functional projects.
* Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
* Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of enterprise identity and account management and administration through any common identity provider.
ROLE CLASSIFICATION AND BENEFITS
This remote, part-time position includes paid time off (prorated for the period in which you work), paid parental leave, and an annual professional development budget.
This position is for 24 hours per week. The hiring salary range for this role is $45,000-$49,950 and will be commensurate with experience. We have a hiring salary range of $50,000-$55,500 for specific higher cost of labor locations, which include New York City, Washington DC, Boston, San Francisco/Oakland, Los Angeles, Seattle and their metro areas.
New Classrooms is a fully remote organization. All employees work from home, and occasionally travel for in-person get-togethers and off-sites.
