Job Description:
The Media Relations & Content Specialist is responsible for supporting EFG’s earned media strategy and dedicated activities (incl. preparation of internal briefing documents for Senior Management), handling standard media enquiries, writing media releases, advising the regional private banking businesses on media-related matters, and managing the daily and weekly media monitoring as well as ad-hoc media monitoring in case of issues and urgent topics (incl. analytics and reporting).
Furthermore, the role includes the management of media publishing systems (media releases, intranet, website, social media) in close collaboration with IT, the Digital Marketing manager as well as IT vendor management and by following the respective internal processes.
In addition, the role contains a large part of content management and production incl. editing and publishing across all channels with a focus on investment expertise, thought leadership, sponsorship, ESG, HR, next generation.
Driving digitalisation and automation in Corporate Communications is part of the job profile.
Main responsibilities
* Support EFG’s corporate positioning and messaging through high-quality earned media activities to further increase EFG’s brand awareness and positioning; pro-actively capture opportunities to increase EFG’s media presence in Switzerland and in key markets with a focus on top tier media.
* Management of standard media enquiries incl. internal information flow (approvals and alignment).
* Drafting communication materials (media releases, media statements, briefing documents, editorials, intranet news, social media posts).
* Lead and manage media relations publishing across channels.
* Manage and publish daily press reviews and contribute to weekly media summary documents; help to ensure timely and high-quality media monitoring; vendor and template management.
* Support the editorial planning and content production for EFG’s multi-channel approach, collaborate closely with Digital Marketing Manager.
* Identify opportunities to drive automation and to increase efficiency.
* Identify trends and early adopt them for EFG.
* Ensure activities and content are fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
* University degree in Journalism and/or Communications.
* Experience in a similar role with a preference for the financial services industry.
* Very good (UK) English writing and editing skills; good knowledge of German is a strong plus; Italian or French language skills are an advantage.
* Able to work under pressure with short deadlines; high flexibility required.
* Strong project management, organisational and time management skills.
* Entrepreneurial attitude, strong focus on developing and delivering solutions.
* Strong sense of ownership by applying a high-quality approach.
* Proficient in the use of MS Office tools; knowledge of CMS, web and social media publishing.
