The Heritage Project Manager is responsible for the preservation, management, and promotion of Piaget's private collection. This includes historical timepieces, documents, designs, and other artifacts that represent the brand's rich heritage. The role encompasses collection management, exhibition development, documentation, authentication support, and contributing to the overall heritage strategy of Piaget.
You will make an impact by:
4. Managing the inventory, cataloguing, storage, budget and restauration of all items within the Piaget private collection
5. Managing the acquisition of new items for the collection, in line with the brand's heritage strategy (incl. Auctions Monitoring).
6. Creating and maintain a comprehensive database for all collection items, including detailed descriptions, story-telling, provenance information, images and condition reports
7. Participating in the promotion of the Piaget heritage collection through various channels, including online platforms, social media, and public events.
8. Planning, developing, and executing engaging and informative exhibitions showcasing the Piaget heritage collection (Piaget Retail Network, External Exhibitions.)
9. Collaborating with curators, designers, and other stakeholders to create compelling exhibition narratives and displays.
10. Managing all aspects of exhibition logistics, including transportation, installation, and de-installation of collection items. :
11. Providing authentication & insurance certificates of Piaget timepieces and other artifacts to markets and end-clients.
12. Developing and implementing authentication protocols and procedures. :
13. Conducting thorough research on archive items to enhance understanding of their historical significance and technical details.
14. Contributing to the development of educational materials and publications related to the Piaget heritage.
15. Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of Piaget's history, production techniques, and design evolution.
16. Contributing to the development and implementation of Piaget's overall heritage strategy.
17. Serving as a brand ambassador, representing Piaget's heritage to internal and external stakeholders (educating VVIP clients, Watch geeks. PR &prospects).
18. Animating and training our Grands Vendeurs Community to transmit the know- how and storytelling of our Maison
Your exceptional skills we are looking for:
19. Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field.
20. Experience in heritage management, museum curation, auction houses or a similar role, preferably within the luxury goods industry.
21. In-depth knowledge of horology and the history of watchmaking.
22. Strong understanding of collection management principles and best practices.
23. Experience in exhibition development and project management.
24. Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
25. Fluency in English and French (written and spoken)
26. Proficiency in database management and digital asset management systems.
27. Soft skills required to work in a multinational environment, managing relationships with different functions and diverse cultures. Demonstrating agility. Flexibility and team spirit.
28. You possess a high level of ethics and values standards and a strong sense of confidentiality
29. You speak fluent French & English
