As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.
Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).
Your responsibilities
►The governance of Engineering activities and deliverables according to the schedule and the budget
►The coordination of Engineering deliverables and needs within Engineering and with other stakeholders: Operations, Procurement, Program
The scope of work will depend on the profile of the candidate and may evolve over time, depending on the business needs.
Tasks:
►Develops and performs overall technical planning, identifying the critical path and ensuring correct priorities are set as well as managing mitigation plans to avoid any drift on the schedule.
Supervises the timely execution of the established plan, communicating any deviations, and ensuring regular reporting on the status, progress and criticality of the work ongoing.
►Provides coordination across the multi-disciplinary design and testing teams, supporting as necessary design and/or technical reviews, interfacing with program management and others company functions; facilitates the communication flow across all the design areas, to harmonize the job across tasks ensuring the respect of the schedule and the budget
►Gathers and consolidates the technical risks and opportunities and manage the associated mitigation plans
►Gathers and consolidates the necessary budget to execute the technical activities
►Controls the engineering costs and communicates any deviations and supports the identification / Implementation of possible recovery actions
►Contributes to CTO internal reporting on progress, planning, risk and opportunities
Your qualifications
►Minimum 5 years’ experience in design, development, testing of aerospace (rotary or fixed wing aircraft)
►Minimum 2 years’ experience with certification activities CS23/CS25/CS27/CS29
►Experience in coordinating technical activities or projects in the aerospace industry
►Experience in planning, controlling, risk and opportunity management
►PMP an asset
►Strong communication and presentation skills
►Autonomous, self-motivated, structured person
►Able to work in high pace environment
►English minimum B2 (verbal and written), Italian an asset
