Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within designated customer accounts.
* Nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers, gaining in-depth knowledge of the account organization.
* Analyze potential opportunities, developing comprehensive business plans and sales strategies for each account.
* Determine and respond to customer needs, defining potential PSI opportunities and proposing suitable strategies.
* Collaborate with Operations to assemble a sales team and prepare presentations, educating team members on account culture, operational methods, and sales techniques.
* Lead the sales process, including identifying the optimal team for pitches and preparing and delivering sales presentations.
* Coordinate with Proposal Development Group to create proposals and Operations to finalize strategy and pricing.
* Follow up on sales activities, facilitating completion of contractual documents.
* Ensure smooth handovers to project teams by transferring knowledge on customer needs and expectations.
* Share account strategies and sales plans with Project Directors/Managers.
* Collaborate with Project Managers/Directors and Operations to address customer concerns and issues promptly.
* Work with Project Manager/Director and Operations to negotiate Changes in Scope (CIS's) with customers.
* Maintain high visibility within account organizations.
* Monitor customer satisfaction through regular surveys.
* Collaborate with Project Managers/Directors to ensure customer needs are met and address concerns/timely manner.
* Review proposals and analyze requests for proposals and protocols.
* Attend industry events, set up meetings at events, and perform follow-up with potential clients.
* Act as liaison between Bay Area clients and Operations as needed.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in health sciences or equivalent combination of education, training & experience.
* Demonstrable competency in sales or business development, preferably for a Contract Research Organization or healthcare services company.
* 3-5 years of business development experience in CRO sales arena.
* Working proficiency with Salesforce.
* Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and time management skills.
* Ability and willingness to travel.
