Project Manager Job Description
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Full responsibility for managing projects from transfer through to final delivery and invoicing.
* Oversee project execution while adhering to business processes, instructions, and regulations.
* Monitor project performance (financial, schedule, quality) and manage risks, issues, and changes.
* Manage project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, and inspections.
* Ensure all internal departments understand their responsibilities and meet contractual obligations.
* Provide sales support during inquiry, offer, and negotiation phases.
* Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, managing claims and communication.
* Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve cash flow without compromising quality or schedule.
Requirements:
* Tech college degree or equivalent tech education combined with project management training.
* Successful track record in project execution in the chemical or petrochemical industry.
* At least 5 years of experience as Project Manager in an international environment.
* Proven experience and skills dealing with international clients.
* Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, excellent negotiation skills with international clients.
* High level of customer orientation and focus on quality.
* Strong process understanding and practical experience in SAP PS and SD Modules.
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written; knowledge of German, French or Italian is an advantage.
