The Position
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to contribute to the development success of our complex diagnostics systems. The successful candidate will own and manage system-level topics, focusing on risk management, reliability, configuration, and integration of diverse system components using Model-Based Systems Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical leadership in key systems engineering disciplines for system or complex system component development.
* Accountability for systems engineering deliverables, including risks, requirements, architecture, concept assessments, and configuration management.
* Contribution to systems engineering in product development projects.
* Creation and maintenance of development documents, such as product/technical requirements, traceability analysis, product risk analysis, and configuration management.
* Ensuring alignment between component development and system integration via interface definitions and Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies.
* Planning, coordination, and support in executing test series to evaluate system reliability.
* Supporting system testing during design verification and validation activities.
* Collaboration with other functions inside and outside the project in cross-functional activities, such as hardware and software engineering, operations, or customer support.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, natural sciences, or equivalent.
* Practical experience in system integration, applying technical skills and focusing on the 'big-picture.'
* Fundamental knowledge of relevant methodologies used in systems engineering and model-based systems engineering.
* Experience with multiple technology domains, methods, and understanding of regulated environments, preferably in IVD(R) areas.
* INCOSE certification and/or model-based systems engineering is desirable.
* Practical experience with SysML or Enterprise Architect is an asset.
* Background in system integration of complex multidisciplinary systems is a plus.
* Advanced English language skills, with German knowledge being an advantage.
