About the Role
We are seeking an expert in Agile methodologies and principles, with a strong understanding of the SAFe framework and its core principles. The ideal candidate will have a Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification and significant experience in a Scrum Master role within a SAFe implementation in an international environment.
General Information:
* The planned duration is up to December 31st, 2025, with the possibility of extension but not currently planned.
* The role involves remote work with a maximum of 50% time spent working from home.
* You will be part of a team that supports and coaches seven agile teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure seamless operation of our Agile Release Train (ART), delivering results in line with our committed 2-year strategic roadmap.
* Collaborate closely with ART Product Management and RTE to support Agile practices across seven agile teams, facilitating alignment, Agile ceremonies, and dependency management.
* Manage the backlog, working with POs and Scrum Masters to establish and maintain a work breakdown structure that aligns with engineering and delivery goals.
* Develop a program plan that projects the backlog onto short-term, mid-term, and long-term timelines, ensuring traceability and reportability at various aggregation levels.
* Guarantee quality assurance with all teams for completeness, consistency, and up-to-dateness of the plan.
* Enhance ART templates and develop best practice reporting formats for ART delivery using Jira and AgileHive-based tools.
* Foster compliance with the Roche Global Customer Support (GCS) portfolio and project framework, serving as an interface between the ART and GCS chapters.
* Optimize ART practices in areas like Jira-integrated requirements and test management (together with the Validation Lead).
* Promote Agile methodologies, encouraging continuous improvement and collaboration among team members.
* Possibility to combine this role with a 50% assignment as Scrum Master of a single agile team within the ART.
Requirements:
* Proven experience with Agile methodologies and principles.
* Strong understanding of the SAFe framework and its core principles.
* Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification.
* Experience in a Scrum Master role within a SAFe implementation in an international environment.
* Mastery of Jira-based backlog management and planning tools/plugins.
* Able to guide and coach multiple Agile teams.
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
* Fluency in English is mandatory (other languages are optional).
Nice to Have:
* Advanced SAFe certification (such as SAFe Program Consultant - SPC).
* Previous experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE).
* Experience with AgileHive.
* Background in software development or technical expertise in areas like Knowledge Management, Enterprise Content Management, AI.
