Job Description
As a Vice President for the Global Strategic Sourcing team you will lead a high-performing team and drive strategic partnerships across our global manufacturing and supply chain ecosystem. This is a role for an ambitious and commercially driven leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will work across all levels – strategic, tactical, and operational – making a tangible impact on Sobi ́s mission and long-term success. This position is based at our Global Headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden or Global hub in Basel, Switzerland, reporting directly to Senior Vice President, Technical Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy that ensures a resilient, cost-effective, and sustainable supply network for Sobi ́s clinical and commercial manufacturing needs.
- Lead and manage the Global Strategic Sourcing team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving continuous development of sourcing capabilities.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with CMOs, CDMOs, CLOs, and raw material suppliers, ensuring best-in-class sourcing decisions and supplier network optimization.
- Secure efficient contract negotiations and agreements that meets the needs of our products and securing timely, reliable and cost-effective supply to our patient short and long term.
- Ensure that negotiations and agreements align with business goals, compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide business-critical analytics on spending, cost structures, and supplier performance to inform decision-making at the highest levels.
- Accountable for overall cost strategies and optimizing COGs for our products when needed and without impacting on lead times or supply security.
- Support due diligence for business development projects, assessing sourcing and manufacturing risks and opportunities.
- Accountable for the direct sourcing processes within the entire Technical Operation organization and the alignment with other processes within TechOps and Sobi
- Act as a key member of the Global Technical Operations Leadership Team, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration and alignment with Sobi ́s mission.
Qualifications

You are commercially driven, with the ability to anticipate industry trends and make bold, yet calculated, decisions. You have the executive presence to engage senior leadership, the relationship-building skills to secure partnerships, and the resilience to navigate a complex and evolving landscape. Above all, you are accountable, decisive, and passionate about making a difference.

Qualifications
- University degree in Business, Chemistry, Sciences, or Industrial Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, with extensive expertise in sourcing, procurement, and outsourced pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Proven strategic leadership experience, with at least 5 years of managerial responsibility, building and developing high-performing teams.
- Extensive experience negotiating complex, high-value global contracts in a multicultural setting.
- Extensive network within the CMO, CDMO, CLO environment and a in depth understanding of outsourced manufacturing and pharmaceutical manufacturing business drivers.
- Strong business acumen with a track record of defining and executing global sourcing strategies in a complex, regulated environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization, collaborating across functions to drive results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
