The Role:
This is a senior executive role responsible for driving strategic growth, market penetration, and business development in the global construction sector, with a strong emphasis on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and structural solutions. This role oversees European operations while leading the company’s international expansion, focusing on securing large-scale projects, managing high-level relationships, and supporting financial and operational performance. Reporting directly to CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
o Develop and execute a global expansion strategy, with a primary focus on Europe, to strengthen the company’s presence in the EPC and structural construction sectors.
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities in high-growth regions globally, ensuring long-term revenue streams.
o Establish and oversee joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and M&A opportunities to accelerate market entry and expansion.
2. Leadership & Operational Excellence in Europe
o Direct business development efforts in Europe, securing major EPC and structural contracts across infrastructure, industrial, and commercial projects.
o Ensure the implementation of best practices in project execution, risk management, and supply chain optimization to maintain competitive advantage.
3. High-Level Stakeholder & Government Relations
o Build and maintain high-level relationships with governments, regulatory bodies, and policymakers to facilitate market entry, licensing, and large-scale project approvals.
o Develop and nurture partnerships with international financial institutions, export credit agencies, and development banks to secure project financing and investment opportunities.
o Engage with multilateral organizations, industry associations, and trade missions to influence policy frameworks and unlock new business avenues.
4. Business Development & Client Engagement
o Cultivate strong relationships with global developers, investors, and multinational clients to drive high-value project acquisitions.
o Lead negotiations for major contracts, ensuring commercial viability and risk mitigation.
o Represent the company at international industry events, government delegations, and global construction summits to enhance visibility and credibility.
o Identify and mitigate risks related to geopolitical factors, regulatory changes, and cross-border trade complexities.
5. Innovation & Sustainable Construction Leadership
o Champion the adoption of advanced EPC methodologies.
o Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence, positioning the company as an industry leader in cutting-edge construction solutions.
Skills and Experience
* Extensive experience in senior leadership roles within EPC, infrastructure, or structural construction sectors.
* Strong background in international business development, government relations, and financing of large-scale construction projects.
* Established network with government entities, IFIs, sovereign wealth funds, and major global developers.
* Expertise in contract negotiation, risk management, and strategic partnership development.
* Proven ability to drive organizational growth, manage multicultural teams, and execute complex international projects.
This role is ideal for a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the global construction landscape, international regulatory frameworks, and financial structuring of large-scale projects.
Location & Travel:
This role will be based in one of the ERG International Group European Offices: Vienna, Zurich or Milan with international travel required.
