On behalf of our Swiss partner, we are looking for a full-time nanny for this family:
The Swiss-Austrian family lives in Zollikon, a residential area close to Zürich (10 min) and close to the lake. You will get your own little apartment in the house with an extra entrance. It is well-connected by public transportation, so driving is not mandatory. However, this family also spends significant time at their vacation homes in Spain (Mallorca) and Austria. They also like to travel from time to time. Family language is German, but both parents speak very well English, also French and Spanish. The kids are trilingual (German, English, and Spanish), so if you speak Spanish it's a plus.
The children are both friendly, active, and happy! The toddler is now also able to play on his own for longer periods of time, which gives the nanny time to be with the baby. The family has 2 guinea pigs. They have a housekeeper who comes twice a week to clean their house and she also cleans the cage for the guinea pigs.
The proposed work program for the nanny is 40 hours a week. You need flexibility with the program, especially when they travel. It is important for them to find someone who is uncomplicated, flexible, and ready to help. You should be interested in traveling with them from time to time. Wherever they are, they will always provide a single room and of course, pay for your travel expenses.
Their expectation for household chores is mainly based on normal tasks focused on the children and in the kitchen. Tasks could include preparing bottles & easy food for the children, cleaning kids’ room/toys, handling the kids’ laundry, helping in the kitchen, and running smaller errands.
They are looking for a happy, friendly, loving, warm-hearted, active, and positive person. They are a happy family, and they want to have this vibe in their house. The most important is the love for their children. The right person has a good education and good manners, is trustworthy, and easy-going. Ideally, she understands family values.
They would like to form a bond with the person, do activities with her, and consider her as a team/family member but can also have free time. You will sometimes do activities with mum, but you should also be happy to look after their children on your own. Swimming is a plus.
They will not accept someone who smokes because they have a smoke-free environment.
