Job Title: HVAC Project Engineer
CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, invites experienced professionals to contribute to its mission. As an HVAC Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining CERN's vital systems.
Main Functions:
* Conduct feasibility studies, detailed designs of HVAC and Sanitary systems, and cost estimates for proposed solutions.
* Create technical specifications and documentation for external contractors.
* Manage contract tendering, adjudication process, and execution.
* Monitor and report on project progress, including schedule, cost, and quality.
* Coordinate contractor work and supervise team members responsible for operation and maintenance of existing HVAC and sanitary systems.
Qualifications:
* Masters degree or equivalent experience in HVAC or Mechanical engineering.
* Extensive experience in HVAC engineering, with focus on building projects and supervising implementation of ventilation, hydraulic, and automation processes.
* Strong track record in evaluating, proposing, and estimating HVAC installations for renovation and new construction projects.
* Demonstrated ability to develop detailed execution documentation, ensuring system reliability and safety.
* Electrical skills for maintenance and operation of the CERN campus would be an asset.
Technical Competencies:
* Design and construction of HVAC plants and networks, including heating, cooling, and sanitary systems.
* Configuration and use of information management systems, such as building automation and BMS.
* Metrics and analytics for HVAC activities, including calculation for different types of equipment.
* Specification and follow-up of technical aspects of a contract.
* Maintenance and operation strategies for a large portfolio of buildings.
