Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
METTLER TOLEDO's Process Analytics is a leading provider of analytical measurement systems. We develop high-quality products in Urdorf and distribute them globally through our market organizations.
We are seeking a Product Manager for biotechnology 100% to strengthen our Product Management team.
Your responsibilities would include:
1. You will develop market requirements, identify customer needs, define the product vision and portfolio strategy, and position our products.
2. You will ensure continuous product development and innovation of our O2, CO2, and cell characterization sensor portfolio. You will define use cases and value propositions for new products.
3. You will create specifications for new products and work closely with the Research & Development department to determine technical specifications and manage commercial projects.
4. You will plan and implement global product launches.
5. You will be responsible for the maintenance and development of your assigned portfolio: phase-in/phase-out, growth, and quality, as well as market communication of corresponding changes.
6. You will develop creative marketing and sales materials for product launches and the promotion of existing products in collaboration with the marketing department.
7. You will support sales representatives in local subsidiaries with new product introductions, training, events, and customer training.
What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or relevant Master's) is preferred.
2. A keen sense for business opportunities, entrepreneurial thinking, and strong marketing knowledge, including customer benefits and value selling.
3. Practical knowledge of sensors used in the pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology.
4. Excellent networking abilities in an international environment and effective communication skills with market organizations and customers, both verbally and in writing.
5. You will be highly self-motivated, with a conceptual approach to tasks and strong planning and organizational skills.
6. Professional communication skills in English; German is an advantage.
7. A willingness to travel about 15-20%.
