As Product Owner for the API Platform, you assume end-to-end responsibility for this channel, which is used by some of our key clients to establish an efficient connection from their systems to our products. Via the API Platform, our clients can trade, stake, view transactions and balances.
You will have the following responsibilities
1. Drive vision and strategy for our public API Platform serving our primarily corporate target audience, for more information visit our documentation .
2. Actively drive and support onboarding of clients on our public API platform ensuring their satisfaction with the API Platform.
3. Develop and manage the product development backlog for the in-house API systems team.
4. Ensure maintenance and drive further development for our graphQL layer, which feeds various end-user interfaces with data, and collaborate with frontend teams to optimize backend-for-frontend architectures.
5. Manage and deliver to the expectation of key stakeholders in your product environment (clients, relationship managers, compliance, marketing, and peripheral systems).
6. Ensure maintenance of internal services that are peripheral to the graphQL layer or client API Platform.
7. Supporting clients and client relationship managers in production-related issues as a second-level support function for the API platform, graphQL layer, and other services within your responsibility.
8. Manage the defining and delivery of development Epics which require the support from multiple teams.
What you bring along
1. Experience in requirements engineering (creation of mockups, writing of documentation, specifying product backlog items, and business process documentation via flowcharts).
2. Exposure to agile product management frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Design Thinking).
3. Experience in working with development teams and other technical stakeholders.
4. Familiarity with REST API design principles and API integration or documentation tools such as Postman or Swagger.
5. Strong communication skills: able to get thoughts across precisely and tuned in to the respective stakeholders being communicated with.
6. At least 2 years of experience as a product manager, product owner, or business analyst with exposure to client-facing products.
7. Ideal experience working with microservice-based systems landscapes.
8. Preferable experience in the financial industry, managing API interface products for internal or client stakeholders.
9. Previous technical experience as a software developer or basic software development skills are a plus but not required.
