About the Position
In this position, you will be responsible for development, evaluation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of existing and new manufacturing processes for our assembly & laser alignment production lines.
Your primary responsibilities
Automation of test procedures and optimization and standardization of assembly procedures for assembly and alignment of laser systems.
Maintenance, control and improvement of full production flow, interfaces between different departments, Bill-of-Material and work instructions during product lifecycle.
Train and mentor production personnel on new processes and equipment.
Conduct time studies and analyze data to identify bottlenecks and areas for process improvement.
Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and cost reduction.
Lead contact from Operations during NPI phase
Prototype builds.
Develop and implement new and/or adapted manufacturing process.
Employee training.
Identify and document process issues and initiate improvement actions.
In this position, you will be reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Interface with R&D team for new product introduction and engineering support & Interface with Production team.
Qualifications - Skills – Experience
Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proficient in process optimization techniques, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
Hands-on, analytical and target-oriented work attitude.
Attention to detail and commitment to deliver high quality products.
5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient with CAD – SolidWorks preferred.
Experience with Quality Management systems.
Experience in working in cleanroom and electronics environment is a plus.
Experience with ISO 9001 and 13485 is a plus.
CNC machining experience is a plus.
Occasionally (less than 5%).
