Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of our embedded computer modules through rigorous testing and validation processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, hardware, and software engineers, to uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities
Test Planning and Strategy:
1. Develop and document comprehensive verification and validation plans based on product requirements and design specifications.
2. Define test strategies and methodologies to validate embedded hardware and software functionality, reliability, and performance.
Test Design and Implementation:
1. Create detailed test cases, procedures, and scripts to verify module functionality and compliance with industry standards.
2. Set up and maintain test environments, including test hardware, software tools, and simulation frameworks.
Execution and Analysis:
1. Execute manual and automated tests, including functional, regression, integration, stress, and system-level tests.
2. Analyze test results to identify, document, and report defects or non-conformances.
3. Collaborate with design teams to diagnose and resolve issues.
Compliance and Documentation:
1. Ensure that all test activities and results comply with relevant standards, such as ISO, IEC, or other industry-specific requirements.
2. Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, procedures, results, and defect tracking.
3. Contribute to the enhancement of V&V processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and test coverage.
4. Stay updated on emerging testing techniques and tools relevant to embedded systems.
Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in verification and validation of embedded systems, including hardware and software components.
* Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks for embedded systems (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, simulation tools).
* Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++ and scripting languages like Python or Bash.
* Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN) and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
* Experience with requirements management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, DOORS, or equivalent).
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Fluent in German, advanced English skills.
