An Insight to the Role
This role focuses on enhancing the reliability and functionality of our embedded systems by contributing to software testing, tool development, and supporting processes. As a key member of the R&D team, you’ll contribute to the success of the team by assisting with essential testing and development tasks. While we value any relevant experience, it’s not essential to qualify for the role. Eagerness to learn and contribute is what we’re focused on:
* Collaborate with the embedded engineering team to design, further develop, and maintain validation processes for embedded systems, with a focus on test automation.
* Investigate quality issues and non-conformities, by reproducing them in lab and performing first-level analyses on both software and hardware.
* Analyze and document test results, providing actionable feedback to developers.
* Create and enhance tools and applications to support the lifecycle of Datamars products and solutions.
* Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
* Continuously improve testing methodologies to align with industry standards.
Key Success Factors
* BSc or MSc in Software Engineering or Computer Science, or other STEM degree providing a strong foundation in software development.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
* Basic understanding of SW testing principles, including automated testing and their execution. Exposure to build automation, CI, and DevOps practices, in the context of embedded SW development, is a plus.
* Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
* Familiarity with embedded systems, hardware interfaces, and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, debuggers, emulators, logic analyzers, etc.).
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Good communication skills, team player, proactive. Fluent English is a must – both written and spoken.
