Accountant
We are seeking an Accountant to support our financial operations at our Pfäffikon site, with the option to work from our Balzers site.
This role involves ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial data on a monthly basis, meeting local tax requirements, and maintaining an effective Internal Control System in accordance with financial, fiscal, and social audits.
Your Key Responsibilities
Monthly Closing Activities:
* Oversight of month-end closing process: understanding, monitoring, and contributing to Finance & Accounting work provided by the Shared Service Center Team (SSC)
* Collaborating with SSC to improve the month-end closing process;
* Reconciling and clearing financial accounts; reporting special items;
* Actively managing cash, swaps, and FX hedging; checking weekly payment runs;
* Managing specific accounting topics, such as License Fees, Global and Regional Back charges, GR/IR clearing, and Fixed/Intangible assets
Year-End, Audit, Internal Control:
* Executing year-end statutory closing
* Serving as a sparring partner for internal and external audits
* Filing Annual Income Tax forms in alignment with Group Tax
* Performing spot checks for the internal control system
* Ensuring accurate and updated Desktop Procedures for Financial Processes
Finance Improvement:
* Creating Transfer Price (TP) documentation according to Group Tax guidelines
* Filling ad-hoc surveys and reports; supporting sub-regional projects
Your Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent
* Minimum 2 years' financial accounting experience in a similar role
* Experience with IFRS and local GAAP
* Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office suite of products (proficient in Excel)
* Good understanding of processes, business requirements, and financial contexts
* High attention to detail, but always action-oriented: ability to wrap-up and deliver on time with adequate quality, especially under time pressure
* Open, positive, and collaborative mindset, ideally with experience in international and cross-cultural business environments
* Desired Chartered Specialist in Accounting and Financial Management
* Fluent in English and very good understanding of German
