Project Engineer Role at Black Utilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to support the Lonza Global Engineering Team in planning, construction, and start-up of units and plants within the Black Utilities Infrastructure sector.
The successful candidate will develop and verify ideas and requests, generate feasibility and conceptual studies, and collaborate with internal and external project partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Verification of ideas and requests, feasibility and conceptual studies for projects until internal approval for execution with internal and external team members.
* Plant Design and execution of projects, coordinating with internal and external engineering partners until successful plant start-up.
* Support and accompaniment of 3D coordination, resolution of collisions, adjustments, etc.
* Responsibility for commissioning and acceptance of systems, participation in integral tests, and collection/control/handover of as-built technical documentation.
* Additional tasks as required by the Global Engineering Team.
Candidate Requirements:
* BSc or MSc in Process or Chemical Engineering or similar field.
* Minimum 3 years of work experience in project engineering and planning/construction/start-up of plants in Chemical, Pharma, or Biopharma industry.
* 5+ years of experience in CAPEX Engineering and/or Operations Engineering in Chemical, Pharma, or Biopharma industry.
* Sociable with good communication skills.
* Independent working style and ability to work in a multi-discipline and complex environment.
* Well-structured thinking and precise working ability.
* Fluent in German and English (C1 level minimum).
