This is a six-month maternity cover starting in the summer. As the Design Manager, you will report to the Director of Design & Technical Services. The position coordinates the design development process on an established schedule.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with Project Consultants and corporate teams through effective communication that adds value to projects.
* Assist in the early formulation and feasibility stages of a project.
* Provide technical guidance and attend workshops to ensure adherence to brand standards.
* Review submitted drawings and specifications.
* Track project schedules.
* Resolve and communicate project-related issues and resolutions.
* Prepare project progress reports and conduct site visits.
* Communicate project status and provide regular updates to the Director of Design & Technical Services.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of corporate brand standards and process frameworks.
Qualifications
* University degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
* Minimum 5+ years of professional experience.
* Experience coordinating consultants on large-scale developments.
* Familiarity with luxury hotel and resort project delivery.
* Technical services background with a luxury hotel operator preferred.
* Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages desirable.
* Proficiency in AutoCad, SketchUp, Lumion, MS Office, Adobe Suite.
* Familiarity with office management systems and procedures.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.
* Excellent communication skills and efficient transmission of instructions.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational skills for efficient time and data management.
* Ability to generate innovative solutions through problem solving.
