Senior Manager Sustainable Agriculture Group ISC

This role is integral to the company's commitment to driving and implementing direct materials sustainability initiatives and engagement programs with suppliers. The person will play a pivotal role in developing and implementation of sustainable agriculture supplier programs to deliver company commitments related to raw materials, with special focus on agricultural materials and reduction of carbon footprint from raw materials such as sugar, rice, barley. The person in the position will collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams to integrate sustainability into daily operations and drive positive environmental impact- focusing on regenerative and sustainable agriculture programs.
The Purpose of the Position Senior Manager Sustainable Agriculture Group ISC is to collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement the company's sustainability strategy, goals, and programs to decrease carbon footprint from raw materials, increase share of materials sourced from suppliers that implemented sustainable agriculture practices and regenerative agriculture programs.
The position will be based in Ziegelbrücke (greater area Zurich), Switzerland. The required skills & competencies to succeed in this role are:

Experience/ Education:
* 8+ years’ experience in Supply Chain and in companies that use agricultural goods - profound understanding and knowledge of regenerative agriculture and sustainable farming of barley, rice, sugar, hops and other materials.
* Deep technical expertise of the raw materials production (from farm to fork) sustainability, especially the impact from regenerative agriculture practices into CO2 emissions reduction.
* Strong understanding of international environmental regulations and standards, safety standards, and sustainable practices and standards and regenerative agriculture practices applicable for raw materials (e.g. regenerative agriculture levers) as well as strong expertise in GHG accounting, industry practices and programs related to sustainable raw materials sourcing.
* Strong technical expertise in methodology to measure impact of regenerative and sustainable agriculture practices on carbon footprint.
* Experience in food and beverage manufacturing or similar industry.
* Ability to engage and influence within a complex business environment.
* Ability to work in a matrix organisation and understand value of multilevel structures.
* Ability to create standards, processes and approaches that allow to manage remotely.
* Possesses the skills to deal with complex problems, analyse information, and set clear priorities and goals. Able to track progress and deliver the results. Structured and disciplined with defining standards, procedures, reporting, and tailored plans.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of successful collaboration with different stakeholders from multiple countries and organizational levels.

Job Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive decarbonization roadmap for raw materials aligned with the company’s short and long-term strategies and objectives. Prepare the budget required for the roadmap delivery.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement the company's sustainability strategy, goals, and programs to decrease carbon footprint from raw materials, increase share of materials sourced from suppliers that implemented sustainable agriculture practices and regenerative agriculture programs.
* Work closely with raw materials suppliers, Procurement teams to identify emerging trends of regenerative agriculture, best practices for sustainable farming that can be applicable for Carlsberg raw materials. All programs and projects in full compliance with regulations relevant to the industry.
* Collaborate with suppliers to drive improved engagement of farmers and support building their capabilities and technical knowledge of sustainable, regenerative agriculture.
* Engage internal and external stakeholders to build scale and drive sustainable farming agenda.
* Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure CO2e abatement from raw materials and track progress. Prepare the acceleration plan if needed.
